This procedure exemplarily shows how to respond to a solvent spill inside the G7175A Level Sensing module.
NOTE
For filling or refilling, the solvent bottles must be removed from the G7175A Level Sensing module. Directly transferring solvents within the G7175A is not permitted.
Switch off the module by pressing the on/off switch and disconnect it from the power supply.
Disconnect the solvent tubing (see Remove the Solvent Tubing).
Remove all bottles from the bottle plates.
NOTE
Do not tilt or turn the Level Sensing module when exposed to liquid spill.
Remove the visible liquid from the solvent compartment.
Unscrew the bottle plates to identify further spilled liquid. (see Replace the Bottle Plates).
Wipe down the surface with tissues to remove all traces of spilled liquid. Please follow the procedures described in Cleaning the Module.
Reinstall the bottle plates (see Replace the Bottle Plates).
Connect the solvent tubing (see Mounting the Solvent Line).
Connect the module to the power supply and switch it on by pressing the on/off switch.
Zero/tare the bottle plates through OpenLab CDS or LabAdvisor (see Zeroing/Taring).
