WARNING
Toxic, flammable and hazardous solvents, samples and reagents
The handling of solvents, samples and reagents can hold health and safety risks.
- When working with these substances observe appropriate safety procedures (for example by wearing goggles, safety gloves and protective clothing) as described in the material handling and safety data sheet supplied by the vendor, and follow good laboratory practice.
- The volume of substances should be reduced to the minimum required for the analysis.
- Do not operate the instrument in an explosive atmosphere.
NOTE
The G7175A Level Sensing must not be carried, moved or shifted when equipped with solvent bottles.
NOTE
Use only the solvent tubing recommended by Agilent.
Do not apply tension to the tubing while connected.
NOTE
Use only bottles with a volume below 2.5 liters (as described in Module Load Capacity Guideline).
NOTE
For filling or refilling, the solvent bottles must be removed from the G7175A Level Sensing module. Directly transferring solvents within the G7175A is not permitted.
Attach the Railing Clip Assembly (G7175-60012 (Railing Clip Assembly) ) to one of the metal side railings on the Level Sensing module, depending on which module tubing it is going to be used (left side for Pump ; right side for Sampler).

Attach the Bottle Head Assembly to the bottle (preferably already filled with solvent) and adjust the position of the solvent tubing in the bottle cap. Ensure that the solvent inlet filter inside the bottle reaches the bottom of the bottle.

Figure: Tubing connected to the Solvent Clip Assembly. Keep the tubing distance (L) between Solvent Clip Assembly and bottle cap as short as possible, while considering shorter distances for small bottles and longer distances for large bottles. We recommend:
L = 20-30 cm, if Solvent Clip Assembly and the corresponding bottle should be installed on the same side, and
L = 40-50 cm, if Solvent Clip Assembly and the corresponding bottle should be installed on opposite sides.

Make sure to perform the zeroing/taring procedure (see Zeroing/Taring) before placing the bottle in the bottle plate.
Place the bottle filled with solvent in the bottle plate of the Level Sensing module.

Attach the Solvent Clip Assembly to the corresponding Railing Clip Assembly.

Avoid crossing solvent tubing between neighboring bottles.
NOTE
Avoid tension of the solvent tubing.
Optional: Attach Solvent Marking Tags to the solvent tubing and Solvent Label Clips (G7175-42018) to the Solvent Clip Assembly.
