Using the Agilent OpenLab ChemStation

Load the Default LC Method (def_LC.M).

Select Instrument > Set up Instrument Method...

Under RID set a Stoptime of at least 60 min.

Under Instrument Curves you can select the available diagnostic signals. For baseline issue select the Optical Unit Temperature, Diode Balance, Diode 1 and Diode 2.

Click on Apply and OK.

In the Edit Signal Plot window add the signals shown below.

Set the initial y-range values according to your needs.

The Online Plot Window should look like this:

Save the method as “Test_baseline.M”.

Set up blank runs with 1 – 2 h duration. This will assure that long term effects become visible.

Start run when the baseline is stable.
