WARNING
Risk of injury by uncovered needle
An uncovered needle is a risk of harm to the operator.
In the Local Controller start the maintenance mode and select Change needle/seat function.
OR
In the Agilent Lab Advisor software select Service & Diagnostics in the system screen Maintenance Positions > Change Seat , click Start and wait until the needle assembly is in maintenance position.
Open the front door.
Slightly pull (1.) the front clip that holds the needle seat in position. Then carefully lift (2.) the complete leak tube needle assembly from the holder.
Close the front door.
In the Local Controller close Change needle /seat.
OR
In the Agilent Lab Advisor software Change Seat click Back and wait until the needle assembly is in the needle park position.
For G4767A, end the procedure with a Pressure Test.
For G7167C and G7137B, proceed with the subsequent steps.
Perform Hydraulic Path Leak Test.
Perform Sampler Leak Test if needed for troubleshooting in case of Hydraulic Path Leak failure.
NOTE
Always flush the sampler with fresh solvent and perform a Pressure Test before using the Auto Clean or Prime function after exchanging a needle seat.
