WARNING
Risk of injury by uncovered needle
An uncovered needle is a risk of harm to the operator.
WARNING
Toxic, flammable and hazardous solvents, samples and reagents
The handling of solvents, samples and reagents can hold health and safety risks.
NOTE
It is recommended to always exchange the needle assembly and the needle seat at the same time to prevent premature leakage.
In the Agilent Lab Advisor software select Service & Diagnostics > Maintenance Positions > Change Needle , click Start and wait until the needle assembly is in maintenance position.
OR
In the Local Controller start the maintenance mode and select Change Needle function.
Open the front door.
Lock the needle in the safety position.
Sharp needle - Make sure the needle is in the safety lock position.
Damage of the loop - Avoid to change the loop shape. Do not pull or bend the loop too far.
CAUTION
Blockages inside of the needle assembly union
Use a 1/4 inch wrench to tighten the fitting of the loop capillary.
Close the front door.
In the Local Controller close Change Needle.
OR
In the Agilent Lab Advisor software Change Needle , click Back and wait until the needle assembly is in the needle park station.
For G4767A, end the procedure with a Pressure Test.
For G7167C and G7137B, proceed with the subsequent steps.
Perform Hydraulic Path Leak Test.
Perform Sampler Leak Test if needed for troubleshooting in case of Hydraulic Path Leak failure.
