Guidance for Feed Speed (G7167C, G7137B Hybrid Multisampler)

The Feed Injection is known as a pressure-controlled injection technique by its principle. This is one of the reasons why system pressure should be considered as critical factor for reliable and reproducible sampler module operation using this injection mode selecting/optimizing the feed speed for particular application.

Optimal feed speed values vs. system pressure. shows the empirically determined feed speed area where the values, defined in ul/min, can be optimal considering LC system pressure level in used application, specified in bar.

Exceeding the recommended feed speed values and going over the border of applicable feed speed area can cause not expected results, injection distortion and error.
